Most recently, in 2014, thousands of women were murdered, abused and displaced in the Shengal genocide. After the liberation of Shengal, Yazidi women organized and founded the YJ\u015e (Shengal Women\u2019s Units).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Referring to the Turkey&#8217;s\u00a0genocidal attacks against North and East Syria, the statement said that; \u201cThe attacks of the Turkish state and mercenaries against the region target free and resisting women, a fact clearly revealed by the attack on the body of YPJ fighter Amara. We, Yazidi women, condemn the attacks of the Turkish state and mercenaries against women.
