They have stood at the forefront of struggles against killing, displacement, and marginalization, and have built networks of life and resistance—from big cities to small villages, from refugee camps to political arenas. Yet, their presence continues to be restricted, and the country’s future is still being reshaped without acknowledging their role or leadership.

This campaign, born from the will of hundreds of Syrian women in a broad women’s conference, goes beyond local demands—it outlines a liberatory vision that concerns us all. It is a clear call to dismantle the patriarchal and authoritarian system that has produced violence, poverty, and oppression, and to establish a decentralized democratic system based on equality, self-determination, and women’s central role in political and social transformation.

We see this campaign as a collective act of struggle, reflecting a transnational women’s consciousness that recognizes the shared nature of women’s battles in Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Sudan, Yemen, and Iran. The liberation of women anywhere is the cornerstone of a just stability and lasting peace across the Middle East and North Africa.

Women’s leadership is not symbolic—it is essential. Justice cannot be achieved unless women are equal partners in shaping laws, distributing power and resources, and rebuilding societies on the foundations of pluralism and equal citizenship.

Therefore, we in the Nada Alliance declare our participation in this campaign not only as supporters, but as an active part of a shared struggle deeply rooted in our common women’s movements. We call on all women’s movements and democratic forces to join this initiative and expand its regional and global reach.

We believe that a new Syria cannot be built without women, and no democratic project can succeed unless it is women-led in essence, humane in spirit, just in structure, and free from centralization, militarization, and exclusion.

Through the unity of women, we will build hope and the future.
With women—for a democratic, decentralized system that guarantees dignity and freedom for all peoples.

Nada Regional Alliance
October 14, 2025

At this pivotal moment in Syrian history—where settlement projects intertwine with attempts to revive old authoritarian regimes, and women are once again excluded from decision-making tables—we, the Nada Regional Alliance, declare our full and unwavering support for the Syrian women’s campaign launched under the slogan:“Through the unity of women, we will build a free, democratic, …

[54,191

post-14592","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-article","category-call-out
["GET
