Statements

To public opinion and the international community:

The self-administered neighbourhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh are currently facing ongoing attacks by jihadist groups. Since yesterday morning, armed factions affiliated with al-Jolani’s so-called “Ministry of Defence” have continued to target these two neighbourhoods in Aleppo. These brutal attacks have so far resulted in six deaths and forty-one injuries, including women and children.
Despite all efforts, it is not possible to evacuate the wounded to hospitals outside the area due to these groups completely closing off all access routes. Essential services such as electricity and water have also been cut off.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish a fast recovery to the wounded, as well as safety to all people. We salute the strength and resistance of the people of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh.
The actions of these jihadist groups are paving the way for a major humanitarian catastrophe. While al-Jolani’s government speaks of dialogue and integration, it continues to carry out physical, psychological and life-threatening attacks against the population. It deprives them of basic necessities and commits brutal acts against civilians.

Such actions leave no room for dialogue or peaceful solutions; they only serve to fuel further conflict. War crimes are being committed in full view of the international community.

Al-Jolani’s government is directly responsible for these attacks, yet its media portrays the situation as though the government is under attack. This manipulation serves only to deepen the crisis.

As Kongra Star, we reaffirm that Syria’s problems cannot be resolved through war and that dialogue remains the only viable path toward a solution.
Women and children have also lost their lives in these attacks. We strongly condemn these violations and urge the international community not to remain silent. Remaining silent in the face of such crimes will only pave the way for more severe and dangerous attacks.
