Kongra Star Statement in solidarity with the struggle in Ecuador and Abya Yala.

From the heart of our women’s struggle that knows no borders, we express our solidarity with the women and peoples of Abya Yala in their struggle for life and dignity.
We, as Kongra Star, answering the call of our sisters and indigenous peoples of the Abya Yala continent, raise our voices in support of the just national strike in Ecuador and of the popular struggles that reject the neoliberal approach of the colonizers that reproduce oppression, violence, and poverty.
From our position of women’s resistance in Rojava, we closely follow the events taking place in Imbabura, Quito, and other cities in Ecuador. We strongly condemn the militarization and systematic repression by the state against the protesters, especially the indigenous peoples and women who are at the forefront of defending life, land, justice, and dignity.
We consider the actions of the government of Daniel Noboa, including the deployment of thousands of soldiers, the siege of the capital, the raids on hospitals and neighborhoods, and the denial of medical care, to be crimes against humanity and acts of state terrorism against peoples who are demanding their right to a free and dignified life. The decision of the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (CONAIE) to call for a national strike is not only legitimate but also a historical necessity in the face of hunger, exploitation, and environmental destruction. Marginalized peoples are not asking for the impossible, but for the obvious: the right to land, water, health, education, and self-determination. We, as Kongra Star, condemn these actions, the mass arrests, the use of toxic gas against children, and the repression of communities that are standing up for their own defense. We hold the government of Ecuador fully responsible for its crimes against peaceful protesters.
We salute the struggle of Quechua and Caranqui women and all indigenous women who are at the forefront of the resistance and represent the true meaning of strength and dignity. Your resistance inspires us and reminds the world that revolution begins with the land, with the body, with mothers, with women.
We, Kongra Star, renew our commitment to stand by the women of Abya Yala and its struggling peoples. We call on the international community, women’s, democratic, and ecological organizations, and social movements around the world to raise their voices and make efforts to stand in solidarity with Ecuador and all peoples who are struggling for justice and freedom.
Women, Life, Freedom
Long live the struggle of women and indigenous peoples
