Mary Rosen: There is a need to evacuate the injured from Serêkaniyê quickly

Mary Francis Rosen, a volunteer nurse, said that the wounded in the town of Serêkaniyê needed a quick evacuation and treatment, saying that staying untreated would endanger their life.

Yesterday, the Kurdish Red Crescent, the Syrian Red Crescent and the International Red Cross evacuated 30 wounded and 4 martyrs from the city of Serêkaniyê.

However, despite the evacuation, a number of the wounded are still inside the city.

Commenting on the conditions of the injured, Rosen said shortly after her arrival from Serêkaniyê to nearby Tel –Tamer, “There are still a number of wounded people in the city,” she said.

Rosen stressed the need to evacuate the injured, warning that staying without medical care “will endanger their lives.”

It called for the opening of a humanitarian corridor to evacuate the remaining casualties inside the city of Serêkaniyê, which is under brutal Turkish attack.
