In response to the call of “Women Defend Rojava” Declaration of full mobilization on “Global Day of Action on January 31, 2026”

In response to the call of the “Women Defend Rojava” campaign, from the trenches of resistance consecrated by blood and will, and from the squares where the first calls for freedom rang out, we, as Kongra Star, declare our full mobilization in response to the call of the “Global Day of Action on January 31, 2026” to preserve the gains of the women’s revolution. We are not begging the world, but speak with the language of truth forged by the sacrifices of our comrades in the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) and the People’s Protection Forces (YPG). We affirm that the Rojava revolution has never been merely a political change, but a rebirth and revival of stolen human identity, and a universal re-emergence of the philosophy of “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” (Women, Life, Freedom), which has become a nightmare haunting the sleep of oppressive patriarchal regimes. What our regions are witnessing today—barbaric attacks led by alliances of darkness, from factions affiliated with the transitional government in Damascus to remnants of ISIS ideology and chauvinistic forces—is nothing but a desperate attempt to stifle the “democratic model” that has proven to the world that the liberation of society begins with the liberation of women. They target the braids of our female friends, thinking they are severing the roots of our revolution. But in their ignorance, they fail to realize that every strand of hair that falls has become an eternal bond binding us to the land, and that the treachery they perpetrate against our pioneering women only strengthens our fight against the crumbling citadels of their patriarchal system. These braids they display as spoils of war are a badge of honor for humanity, a stain of shame that haunts the silence of the international community, which watches the extermination of the feminist vanguard of the 21st century without lifting a finger.
In the name of every Kurdish, Arab, Armenian, Assyrian, and Syriac woman whose identity has been forged in the crucible of coexistence, we declare to the world that January 31st will be a day to escalate the international struggle. We call upon all feminist movements and democratic forces worldwide to transform public places into places of resistance. Defending Rojava today is defending women’s right to exist, and it is the impassable barrier preventing the spread of fascist terrorism into your homes and cities. We, at Kontra Star, renew our pledge to the martyrs and to Reber Apo that we will not retreat one step from our gains. The revolution, watered by the blood of Hevrin, Saliha, and Deniz, is an unbreakable revolution, and our cry will continue to shake the thrones of tyrants until a victory is achieved.
Let the enemies know that we do not fear death, for through resistance we have found the meaning of life, and every attempt to break our will will grow thousands of female fighters and vanguards who will continue our struggle forever. Let January 31st be a loud cry uniting our hearts in a single trench against slavery, and let our shared will be an invincible force that safeguards women’s dignity and protects their global revolution.
Long live the resistance of free women! Long live the Rojava Revolution!
Victory to the resistance! Shame on treason and fascism!
Jin, Jiyan, Azadî!
